There is no end to education. It is not that you read a book, pass an examination, and finish with education. The whole life, from the moment you are born to the moment you die is a process of learning.” – Jiddu Krishnamurti

We can change the future - Together!

Some of the trends and statistics we want to improve in our community.

  • 1 in 10 parents lack confidence in their ability as their child's first teacher.

  • 1 in 3 parents do not know where to get help when they need it.

  • Studies show that educators pedagogical practices are more positively influenced by higher education rather than higher qualifications

  • Enhanced knowledge of development is associated with improved behavioural, cognitive and motor outcomes for children.

  • Parents, caregivers and early childhood educators have the most unique opportunity to strengthen a child’s social, emotional, academic and language development and prevent cascading of cumulating risk factors.

We know what you're thinking...

  • Is action necessary? Can it wait?

Yes - Action is necessary. No - It can't wait. Children (and early development in general) wait for no one! As early childhood specialists we are strong advocates AGAINST the "just wait and see" approach. If you take action now, you can influence your child's future and avoid parental/educator shame later. If you are thinking about learning, act now!

  • When am I supposed to find time for this? Im already spread so thin!

In your scroll time! We want to join your list of online sources you use to unwind. Instagram, YouTube, Thrive @ TKJ! Take it at your own pace in your own time, and learn from the comfort of your bed or while taking a bath - the opportunities are endless. Our solutions and recommendations are also designed to fall into typical routines and lifestyle as much as possible - we want to minimise to additions to your to do list.

  • My child is only a baby, is it too early for me to start focusing on their development?

No - There is no such thing as too early! From the moment of conception, each baby is on a rapid and time sensitive developmental journey. Their experiences in utero are understood to be the most rapid and influential period of human development. The real question is; 'I am pregnant, is it too early to start focusing on my child's development?' ... and the answer is still NO!

  • Is learning as a parent or educator, really that important?

Yes, it is! If you spent time with a child - any child - you are intentionally and unintentionally informing their learning and development. Developing your self-awareness and personal understanding of early development has been shown to drastically improves their life outcomes. You have the opportunity to set them (and yourself) up for success.
